Animal Time
In Animal Time there is no time for animals - you are tasked with collecting Dough-nanas!
Move around with WASD and use your mouse to pick the Dough-nanas.
Explore a tiny world full of mystery and derpy animals monsters.
You have a clear goal - your quota (top left of the screen). Do you keep all the Dough-nanas for you the company? Are you generous and feed the animals with your hard-earned fruits? Why are there so many ruins? Who knows and who is asking?

There is a cool picture of us in the game if you haven't noticed! We had a lot of fun and very little time - jamming over three weeks really boils down to 3 days of "normal" jamming in the end... But we are happy, proud and no animals were hurt during the production of Animal Time - we actually had amazing vegan burgers that I still need to pay Mona for.
This game was made over the last few weeks by the RaucherPauseGames crew Jeldrik, Balduin, & Mona with our new member Kurt (you have read it here first) for the “thatgamecompany × COREBLAZER GAME JAM 2025"
The game is very good, lovely and handcrafted - all animation & art was done by humans. The dialogue was also done by the Environment Artist. The 2D art was done by the 3D animator. The design was done by the whole team and really initiated by Mona with her crazy deep research into the meaning of the concept “generosity” (wait is Aristotle the reason for all the ruins?!). Ehm what more to add? Ah - the animal sounds were kindly contributed by Réjane (some might know her as the writing talent behind “Racoon Snoozes”), edited by the Environment Artist and finally implemented by the Programmer. The soundtrack was made with an actual guitar by the Animator. The narrative was written by - big surprise - also the Environment Artist. And now the big thing you, dear reader, have waited for: AI was used, yes. By the Programmers - I know it is hard to take. We actually used AI to get rid of boring grunt work (like creating a cheaper Nav-Mesh-less system for the animals to “pathfind”) and NOT to replace our creative ideas and imagination.

What a cute little title! Awesome all around. Everything seems to be just perfectly right about this one. Incredible art front to back, including setting and sound in generel, soundtrack, the sweet graphics, the cover art & main menu aswell as the underlying mechanics.
Remarkable work indeed. Really soothing this one.
